We provide a six month Ultrasound Training Course leading to a certificate from Canterbury Christ Church University UK. The course is offered to practicing medical professionals who wish to obtain further expertise in medical ultrasound for clinical practice in order to equip themselves with better diagnostic capabilities.

The certificate course has a structured curriculum designed by Canterbury Christ Church University UK which covers various topics in different modules (General, OB/GYN, Vascular and Musculoskeletal).

The course is designed to enhance current knowledge and understanding and gives opportunities to Challenge and critically evaluate professional practice.

To whom we provide

Applicants will normally have completed a graduate medical degree (MBBS) or above and have registered themselves with the Bangladesh Medical & Dental Council (BMDC) or for foreign students, State Medical Council of their respective country.

Dr. Arun Chauhan

Dr. Arun Chauhan is the founder and CEO of Global Education Partnership UK. Arun is trained as a General Physician and has special interest in technology driven health and education initiatives. Arun has over 15 years of experience in healthcare sector and has closely worked with various NHS trusts across the UK. He has worked as a Project Manager and Healthcare IT specialist and has contributed in creation of Health Management Information Systems globally. In his career he has designed web-based health applications, analytical tools and e-portals based on integrated medicine. Arun is Fellow of British Computer Society and also serves as council member of UKCHIP.


Prof. Kate Springett

Professor Kate Springett is Head of Department of Allied Health Professions, the academic 'home' for the Ultrasound theory course. She is recent past Chair of the UK strategic organisation, the Research Forum for Allied Health Professions. Current national work includes the National Clinical Academic Careers Development Group for Nursing, Midwives and Allied Health Professionals. She is Visiting Professor for Zhengzhou University, and 2nd Affiliated Hospital, Zhengzhou, China. Diagnostic Ultrasound is almost 'something for nothing', there are few contra indications, and real-time imaging provides such useful information towards diagnosis and clinical decision-making.

Course Leaders

Gill Dolbear

Qualifying as a radiographer at the Kent and Canterbury School of Radiography in 1982, Gill has held a variety of clinical posts before becoming a specialist clinician in ultrasound. Gill gained her Diploma in Medical Ultrasound at the Middlesex School of Radiography in 1987 and, in 2002, successfully completed an MSc in Inter-professional Health and Community Studies at Canterbury Christ Church University.


Mike Lynn

Mike's initial career was in business with Harvey's of Bristol, the international wine merchants. In 1993 he attended Canterbury Christ Church University to study for a Degree in Diagnostic Radiography and qualified in 1996 to become a radiographer at Maidstone Hospital in the South East of England. From 1998 he undertook research into new digital radiographic techniques at the Whittington


Wick Fernando

Wick is an experienced ultrasound practitioner with extensive experience gained in acute medical, general surgical, peripheral vascular, obstetric and gynaecology within a demanding hospital environment. He has specialist knowledge in contrast enhanced ultrasound, musculoskeletal, infant hip, small parts and CCSVI imaging. Wick is currently a visiting lecturer in Christ Church College,
